Headache and/or TMJ relief sessions specifically target the cranial nerves, fascia (connective tissue) and muscles of the head, neck and cervical spine to help alleviate pain and pressure. These specialized appointments are designed to treat the individual type of headache you are suffering from: tension, migraine, TMJ, cluster, cervicogenic or concussion. It is estimated that half of the worldwide population suffers from headache disorders, which can greatly impair functioning in daily life and activities. While the root cause of headaches can vary greatly from person-to-person, manual therapy treatments can be extremely beneficial in providing relief from suffering and preventing occurrences. Depending on your individual needs, the following therapies may be utilized: Neural Manipulation, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Suboccipital Release or Deep Tissue.

Therapeutic Yoga sessions combine Arogya (yoga therapy) methodology and attributes of Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Yin Yoga. Each session is personalized to meet your body where it is at and provide comprehensive guided assistance, support and encouragement. Therapeutic Yoga addresses restrictions and limitations in connective tissue through mindful positioning of your body in specific sequencing patterns. Active stillness and holding in postures targets connective tissue and the nervous system simultaneously. Through this process we are able to reduce stress and anxiety, release stagnant energy, improve physical flexibility and joint mobility, quiet the mind, reduce bodily tension and cultivate mental endurance. Therapeutic Yoga is also excellent for imparting both perseverance and resilience in the body and mind. Specifically designed individual flows allow for instinctive transitions between the superficial and deep fascia of the body in each chosen pose. Through slow and conscious movement of the body, the Parasympathetic Nervous System (rest-and-relaxation) is also able to become dominant. Learning to use your breath and body together in a mindful way can be truly transformative for your health and life quality.

Nervous System Regulation

This appointment will help you learn how to interpret your own individual nervous system and underlying responses. Through applying Polyvagal Theory in a personal context, you will gain a meaningful understanding of how to identify the states of your nervous system and how they interact in every aspect of your body and mind. We will explore what potentially triggers dysregulation in your own nervous system and how to implement effective body-based strategies for regulating it in real time. Your initial appointment will also introduce you to Acoustic Anatomy listening protocols and personalized listening plan will be designed and implemented for you to listen remotely at your convenience, in your own space.
